Admitting a mistake

Dear Mr. Singh,
Thank you for your letter of 6 June.
I very much regret the difficulties you have been having with our company. I have investigated your complaint and have finally discovered what happened.
Your original order was wrongly filed and although your cheque was deposited, your order was never fulfilled. As you know, we recently moved our office and our records were unfortunately in some confusion.
In the meantime, we have discontinued the manufacture of the machine you ordered. I am therefore enclosing a cheque for GB£800 as your refund.
I am also enclosing an illustrated catalogue of our current products and hope you might be interested in one or more of them.
Yours sincerely,
